Salut, Ça Va!

Oooohhh Hard Candy with your cute names and even cuter packaging…I had such high hopes for your “Eyelash Mascara Fever”. I had images of jet black streams of feathery lashes shooting out of my eyelids. However, I ended up with the total opposite. As in clumpy, mC-clump-stingy-tarantula lashes. (ouch) The formula was dry from the get go and very glue-y. It dried super fast so layering is not even possible and you get clumps with the first coat. An hour into wearing it, you sort of want to scratch your eyelids off. Nuff said, this mascara left me crying ;(

So I went into Target for a dark, rich, forest green; but I came out with a shimmery, frosty sage green. Wtf? I should of just walked out. Not only was the colour not what I was looking for, but it was highly unflattering to my milky-coffee coloured skin. However, that's not N.Y.C.'s problem, but it is their problem if their product's quality leaves something to be desired. It wouldn't have even of mattered if I loved the colour because this polish applies nearly clear and a little unevenly. Being currently unemployed, I actually DO have the time to sit, apply, blow, re-coat, repeat...But what if my dreams come true and Toys R Us does call me back and offer me that overnight stocking job? Then what?
Well, I simply won't have the time...
Bottom Line: This polish's colour is suitable for porcelain-average Caucasian skin. Any darker...simply not flattering. It takes a long time to get enough coats on to display the colour plus even after you spend all that time...your nails will be uneven. You will be able to see slits of your nail bed if you hold up your nails to the light. Happy Polishing!
